The Springs Aquatic Club is a member of USA Swimming.
Our program will compete in a wide variety of meets in the Central
Texas area.

Our goal is to provide Dripping Springs and the surrounding Texas
Hill Country with a swimming program that can meet the needs of
a wide range of athlete ages, abilities, and goals in an environment
that promotes lifelong health and well being.
Springs Aquatic Club offers 3 training groups for development and
training of young athletes in the sport of competitive swimming.
You do not need to be a member of The Springs to participate.
The Spring Ray Team Groups
Competitive Group:
(recommended
age: 6+)
Requirements for the White Team are:
Competitively
Swim: 200 yd. Freestyle, 50 yd. Backstroke, 30 ft. Butterfly &
Breaststroke
The white team
is a developmental group. Swimmers will learn drills and proper
technique to improve overall swimming ability.
Practice
Times: Monday - Thursday 4:15-5:15pm
Select
Group:

Requirements for the Select Team are:
Competitively
Swim: 100 IM with legal turns,
500 yd. Freestyle, 50 yd.
Backstroke, Butterfly and Breast.
Swimmers will
increase their aerobic fitness level and body strength, in addition
to enhancing technique. Swimmers will also learn and utilize goal
setting, racing strategies to prepare for meets.
Practice
Times: Monday - Thursday 4:30-6:00pm with strength training Tues/Thur
4:30-5:00 (strength training subject to change).
Elite
Group:

Requirements for the Elite Team are:
Competitively
Swim: 200 yd. IM with legal
turns, 1200 yd. Freestyle, 100 yd. each Breaststroke, Backstroke and
Butterfly
Swimmers will
demonstrate their commitment level as much as athletic talent.
Swimmers will continue stroke development, endurance and strength
training. Swimmers will also continue to utilize goal setting and
race strategies, focusing on upcoming meets and Junior Olympics at
the end of the season.
Practice Times: Monday - Friday 4:45-6:-15pm with strength
training Tues/Thur 4:45-5:15pm (strength training subject to
change).
