We all have busy lives with many responsibilities. It is easy to lose sight of the need to take care of our bodies. With many chronic diseases and the rapid decline in one's quality of life attributable to lifestyle choices such as lack of exercise and improper diet, it is absolutely vital to prioritize your health and take care of yourself. The first step is dedicating 2% to 4% (30 minutes to 1 hour) of your day to yourself at Springs Fitness.
Long-time friends and experienced trainers, Joe and Adrien, watched the fitness world evolve from the traditional national chain gyms to the explosion of CrossFit, Boot Camp and High Intensity Interval Training styles of workouts. We saw the need for a gym that offered the community and personal attention to keep you motivated and enjoying your time in the gym. We also recognized that people wanted even more variety, so we have developed several programs that compliment each other well.
Just as important as the programming, is a clean, welcoming environment, where everyone feels comfortable, regardless of age or fitness level. From 18 to 80, or the first-timer to the experienced athlete, we recognize that your needs differ in degree, not kind, and we will offer everything you need to achieve your goals, take charge of your health, and most important, have fun while doing it.
WHO WE ARE

Joe first discovered functional fitness in 2011, a few years out of law school, in poor health and in need of something to kick start his fitness. Since Joe, like many others, was intimidated by the idea of group fitness, it took constant badgering by Adrien until he was able to convince Joe to join the gym where he was coaching; the rest is history (if you visit our gym, you will undoubtedly be subjected to hearing Adrien recount how he is responsible for saving Joe’s life). Joe has developed a passion for coaching, and can relate well with the everyday member who has a busy lifestyle but is looking to get into shape and enjoy life to its fullest. Joe has refined his coaching skills since 2013 and he joins Adrien in the exclusive group of Certified CrossFit Level 3 Trainers in the area. Joe has shifted his focus to helping develop other coaches and expanding programming to include other areas of fitness and different class styles that appeal to all ages and fitness levels. It is Joe's goal to create a clean, safe, inviting environment for our members to enjoy working on their fitness goals through a variety of programming. Joe is lucky to be supported by his wonderful wife Danielle, and their three-year-old coach-in-training Joey and one-year-old son Jack.

Gina stumbled into fitness training 5 years ago after graduating from St. Thomas University with a B.A. in both Psychology and Criminal Justice. Stepping into the gym with no athletic background what-so-ever, Gina had no idea that so much of her life today would revolve around fitness. Gina started as a member, always observing the coaches and enjoying the process of improving her fitness. Little by little, Gina’s leadership qualities blossomed as she would take new members and befriend them, assuring them that there was no reason to be intimidated and that they would quickly start to see improvements in how they felt and how they performed. Gina was then identified as having the essential qualities of a functional fitness coach, and began to work closely with Joe to sharpen her skills. Gina is always looking to improve herself and her knowledge in order to give the members a better experience. Gina is perhaps one of the funniest people you will meet at Springs Fitness (surely more than Joe), she prioritizes people first, has a love for coaching and makes sure the gym is a clean, safe and fun environment for everyone. At Springs Fitness, Gina will make sure you feel at home.

Kaylyn played a variety of sports growing up and comes from an athletic, active family background. It was during the summer of 2013 she attended her first CrossFit class at her brother’s gym, Skyline CrossFit in Houston, she was instantly hooked. She returned to her home state of Michigan and immediately joined a gym and a strength team at her college. After graduating she moved to Florida and joined Springs Fitness’ 5:00 AM class and has been with them since the day they opened. Kaylyn is passionate about expanding her knowledge and obtaining the experience to better herself as an athlete and more so as a coach. She has looked to Gina for nutritional guidance and has learned more about fueling the body through proper nutrition. You can often find her encouraging other members through their workouts or discussing their efforts after class. Either way, she will always have a welcoming smile on her face.

Matt discovered functional fitness in 2012, a year or so after recovering from brain surgery. Throughout the ordeal Matt put on weight from not being allowed to exercise, let alone leave his house. Matts first gym was CrossFit Coconut Creek, his first taste of functional fitness was a workout called “Half Kelly.” The workout entailed 5 rounds of a 200m run, 15 wall balls and 15 box jumps. Even though upon completing the workout Matt had to sit down and recover for 10+ minutes fighting the urge to pass out, he was hooked. Matt received his CrossFit Level 1 Trainer about 2013 and immediately began helping athletes accomplish their fitness goals. Besides being an avid functional fitness coach Matt also spent several years co-coaching on a competitive Olympic lifting team No Respect for Gravity. Matt has competed several times in CrossFit at competitions such as Wodapoloza and the Crush Games. He has also competed in Olympic Lifting at a national level. Matt has been a coach in the functional fitness community for 6+years. He brings with him a wide variety of knowledge in bodybuilding, powerlifting, Olympic lifting, and functional fitness.
